Approximately a 1 hour comprehensive course designed for any student/employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials, as a result of performing designated job duties. This course is particularly appropriate for healthcare workers, public safety personnel, housekeeping and custodial workers, educational and correctional workers, designated first responders and tattoo or permanent makeup artists, and meets OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) training requirements when combined with site-specific instruction. Students learn how to protect themselves from exposure; act when exposed; clean themselves and the area; tell or report any exposure. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive participation certification.
