Confined Space Awareness & Operations

For years, workers have entered manholes, pipes, tanks, etc. as part of their jobs without thinking about the potential dangers. Still, today, workers or would-be rescuers entering confined spaces are exposed to serious life-threatening risks and some become seriously injured or die. This training is intended to provide information regarding governing regulations, hazard recognition, personal protective equipment (PPE), entry permit program and emergency rescue planning.

Electrical Safety

Electricity is accepted as a source of power without much thought to the hazards encountered. OSHA’s electrical standards address the government’s concern that electricity has long been recognized as a serious workplace hazard, exposing employees to such dangers as electric shock, electrocution, fires and explosions. Learn the identification and prevention of electrical hazards, safe work practices around electricity, and understand the requirements for grounding and ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI).

Fall Protection

Falls consistently account for the greatest number of fatalities in the construction industry year after year and continue to be a major concern in other industries. These types of accidents often involve a number of factors including unstable working surfaces, misuse of fall protection equipment, and human error. Studies have shown that the use of guardrails, fall arrest systems, safety nets, covers, and travel restriction systems can prevent many deaths and injuries from falls. Students will gain understanding of OSHA’s fall protection regulation 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M, understand fall hazards and fall prevention, employer’s duty to have fall protection, identify when fall protection is required, fall protection systems and their applications, and the duties of the competent person as defined by OSHA.

Materials Handling

This training introduces the hazards that are involved in the handling and storage of materials. Different methods of handling and storage are discussed, the hazards they pose to workers and the methods by which these hazards can be reduced or eliminated from the workplace.

OSHA Injury and Illness Recordkeeping (New Revised Standard)

Understand the requirements under the new rule effective January 1, 2002. Changes in who’s covered, the OSHA Forms, the recording criteria, employee involvement, privacy protections, and computerized and centralized records.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Covers eye and face protection, hearing protection, hand and foot protection, head protection, respiratory protection, and protective clothing. Training is customized to company’s policies for PPE.

Welding Safety Awareness

This quality Welding Safety Awareness Training will help your company reduce the number of welders that are injured, exposed to toxic fumes and physical hazards, and reduce overall risk of OSHA imposed citations. OSHA welding safety standards require establishment of a worker safety program, proper training, written hot work permits, use of material safety data sheets, use of labels and other warnings, and that hazards and precautions be explained.

Forklift (Powered Industrial Truck) Operator Training

Learn about lift truck physics, operation, safety and maintenance, refueling and recharging. Training designed to meet new, more specific OSHA training requirements for lift truck operators.

Bloodborne Pathogen

This training is designed to provide a basic understanding of bloodborne pathogens, common modes of their transmission, methods of prevention, and other pertinent information. Worker Right-To-Know / Hazard Communication

OSHA has estimated that more than 32 million workers are exposed to 650,000 hazardous chemical products in more than 3 million American workplaces. This poses a serious problem for exposed workers and their employers. Learn the requirements of the OSHA standard for a written hazard communication program, chemical inventory list, labeling, material data safety sheets (MSDS), and training requirements.

Control of Hazardous Energy (Lock out/Tag out)

Workers performing service or maintenance on machinery and equipment may be exposed to injuries from the unexpected energization, startup of the machinery or equipment, or release of stored energy in the equipment. The employer is required to provide effective training for all employees covered by the lockout/tagout standard and ensure that all employees understand the purpose, function, and restrictions of the energy control program. Learn aspects of an energy control program, elements of the energy control procedure relevant to the employee’s duties or assignment, and the various requirements of the OSHA standards related to lockout/tagout.

Machine Guarding

Covers OSHA Machinery and Machine Guarding Standard 1910.211–219 Subpart O, common causes of machine incidents, and which areas should be guarded to provide adequate worker protection.

Walking and Working Surfaces

The Walking and Working Surfaces training alerts participants to the hazards of walking and working surfaces and provides information about workplace action needed to eliminate or control these hazards.

Fire Protection

This online OSHA fire safety and protection training has been designed to deliver firsthand information about fires and fire protection measures. After completing this course, you will be able to identify different types of fires and how safety measures can be taken to avoid a disastrous situation. We will also discuss the different types of fire extinguishers in use and discover how careful planning and precautionary measures can be taken to save lives and property.

Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans and Fire Prevention Plans

The Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans & Fire Prevention Plans Compliance Training course is designed to help participants understand key elements of Subpart E (Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans & Fire Prevention Plans) issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The course is intended for team leaders, middle managers, human resource personnel, safety and health committee members, and other employees who have recently been appointed to safety and health responsibilities or who are seeking knowledge on Subpart E.
