Reflecting on a Powerful Year at Rescue One Training for Life, Inc.

At Rescue One Training for Life, Inc., we often say that preparedness saves lives, but this past year reminded us that community also saves lives.

From classrooms and workplaces to houses of worship, restaurants, and public spaces across Maryland and beyond, 2025 was a year defined by growth, education, and real-world impact. Every training delivered, every AED placed, and every conversation started brought us closer to a future where more people are ready to act when seconds matter most.

Training That Builds Confidence. Not Fear

This year, Rescue One continued its core mission: empowering everyday people with the skills and confidence to respond in emergencies. Thousands of students, educators, employees, parents, and community members completed CPR, AED, First Aid, and lifesaving certification courses with our team.

But what stood out wasn’t just the number of certifications. It was the confidence shift we saw in our classrooms.

Participants didn’t leave simply knowing what to do. They left believing they could do it.

That belief is what turns bystanders into lifesavers.

Supporting Schools, Youth, and the Next Generation

Education remains at the heart of everything we do. Through partnerships with local school systems, workforce programs, and youth initiatives, Rescue One helped introduce lifesaving skills earlier than ever before.

Programs like Summer RISE, student-focused training initiatives, and scholarship-based outreach allowed us to reach young people at formative moments, helping them understand that lifesaving skills aren’t just for medical professionals. They’re for anyone willing to step forward.

We’re especially proud of initiatives that blend education, creativity, and service, reinforcing that saving lives is a community responsibility shared across generations.

Expanding AED Access Where It Matters Most

One of the most impactful areas of growth this year was AED education and placement. Rescue One worked closely with businesses, government agencies, restaurants, fitness centers, places of worship, and community organizations to assess readiness and improve access to Automated External Defibrillators.

Sudden cardiac arrest doesn’t wait for EMS, and neither should preparedness.

By helping organizations understand compliance requirements, placement strategy, and training integration, we made lifesaving tools more accessible where people gather every day.

Real Stories. Real Outcomes. Real Impact.

Nothing reinforces the importance of this work like hearing stories where training made the difference.

Throughout the year, we heard from individuals who recognized cardiac arrest, began CPR, retrieved an AED, and helped save a life because they had taken the time to get trained.

Those moments are humbling. They remind us that behind every class roster is the potential for a life saved.

Strengthening Community Partnerships

Rescue One also deepened its partnerships with local organizations, safety leaders, and national health initiatives. From awareness campaigns to public education efforts, we worked alongside partners who share a commitment to prevention, preparedness, and response.

These collaborations amplify impact and ensure that lifesaving education reaches more people, more consistently.

Looking Ahead with Purpose

As we reflect on the past year, one thing is clear: the need for CPR, AED, and lifesaving education is only growing. Emergencies don’t wait, and preparedness must keep pace.

In the year ahead, Rescue One is committed to:

Expanding access to training and AEDs
Making lifesaving education more accessible by bringing CPR, AED, and First Aid training directly into more workplaces, schools, and community spaces while increasing awareness and access to AED placement where people live, work, and gather.

Supporting schools and youth programs
Continuing to invest in the next generation through school partnerships, workforce development programs, and youth initiatives that introduce lifesaving skills early and reinforce confidence, responsibility, and readiness.

Helping businesses and public spaces become rescue-ready
Working closely with businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations to assess readiness, support compliance, train staff, and develop emergency action plans that enable confident response before EMS arrives.

Strengthening community partnerships and local outreach
Building deeper relationships with community leaders, organizations, and health-focused initiatives to extend the reach of lifesaving education and ensure preparedness efforts are sustainable and locally grounded.

Raising awareness through education and storytelling
Sharing real-world stories, data, and practical guidance that reinforce why CPR and AED training matter, helping communities understand not just how to respond, but why early action saves lives.

Advancing AED education beyond placement
Ensuring that AEDs are not only installed but also understood through clear signage, hands-on instruction, and ongoing education that removes fear and hesitation around AED use.

Empowering everyday people to act with confidence
Continuing to focus on practical, approachable training that replaces fear with confidence, reminding participants that lifesaving action doesn’t require a title, only preparation and willingness to help.

Leading with compassion, clarity, and community focus
Maintaining a people-first approach in every class, conversation, and partnership meeting, individuals where they are and guiding them with empathy, clarity, and respect.

Innovating training delivery and engagement
Exploring new formats, tools, and educational methods to meet people where they are while preserving the hands-on, human connection that defines effective lifesaving instruction.

To everyone who trained with us, partnered with us, or supported our mission this year, thank you. You are part of a growing network of people prepared to step forward when it matters most.

Together, we are building a safer, more prepared community one life at a time.

It’s about having the tools and the courage to step forward.

Here’s to another year of readiness, resilience, and lives touched.
