AHA PALS Instructor Course

As a pediatric health care provider, you have probably undertaken the Pediatric Advanced Life Support course with the American Heart Association (AHA). This course equips you with the necessary skills to efficiently and effectively handle any pediatric emergency that may arise. To qualify for this course, you must be a practicing AHA provider with proficiency in BLS, ACLS, PALS, Heartsaver, and PEARS. You must also have undertaken first aid training and a PALS course. The observed practice should happen within six months after finishing the course. If need be, further monitoring may be recommended by your training center coordinators. During the observed practice, you are expected to demonstrate your teaching skills and your understanding of the course material.
