Rescue One Training For Life, Inc. Partners with Huddle for Hearts and UT Wide Receiver Bru McCoy for “Touchdowns for AEDs”
Gaithersburg, MD – Rescue One Training For Life, Inc., a leader in providing life-saving training and equipment, is proud to partner with Huddle for Hearts, an initiative by The Peyton Walker Foundation and University of Tennessee Wide Receiver Bru McCoy.
The partnership aims to donate Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to underserved communities through an innovative program, “Touchdowns for AEDs.”
The Game Plan
Under the terms of Bru McCoy’s NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) agreement with The Peyton Walker Foundation, every touchdown he scores will result in a donated AED for communities in need. This unprecedented move fuses sports, community engagement, and life-saving measures into a cohesive initiative.
Jeremy Gruber, CEO of Rescue One Training For Life, Inc., added, “We are thrilled to be part of this LIFESAVING initiative. Every AED we place in a community increases the chances of survival from sudden cardiac arrest. With Bru McCoy’s athletic talent, we are celebrating touchdowns and the potential of lives saved.”
“Huddle For Hearts is the name of my initiative to spread awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and raise money to bring AED’s to underprivileged communities as well as CPR and AED use! I look forward to continuing to do things like this & help any community in need!” Bru McCoy, UTSSports.com.
Next Steps
Bru McCoy will be taking the field in games this football season. The partners encourage fans and supporters to tune in and cheer as each touchdown holds the promise of a life saved.

The Peyton Walker Foundation was established in memory of 19 year old Peyton, whose young and vibrant life was stolen by Sudden Cardiac Arrest on November 2, 2013. Motivation to establish the foundation came from the words that were emblazoned on the shirt Peyton was wearing on November 2nd: “What we do for ourselves dies with us….What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.” (Albert Pines) Her shirt called her family to action…establishing the Foundation to save young lives so that other families would never know the heartache of losing a child without warning to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

Bru McCoy and Huddle for Hearts in the News
Bru’s Mccoy and Huddle for Hearts is making news!
Bru McCoy explains how Damar Hamlin, chance to give back led to ‘Huddle for Hearts’ NIL initiative
“It had a big effect on me. It was the first occurrence where you see somebody potentially lose their life on the field. Or the first time I had seen it. I think the only other time I could think of off the top of my head of hearing something like that was like Hank Gathers, and that was a story I was told and saw a YouTube video on” – Bru McCoy

Huddle For Hearts: Bru McCoy’s Life-Saving Initiative
“The presence, or lack, of an AED in the event of a heart attack could be the difference between life and death. McCoy is scoring touchdowns in the name of preventing SCA on the football field. For every touchdown that McCoy scores in the 2023 season, an AED and opportunity for training will be provided to players, coaches and parents in the Knoxville community, so in the event of an emergency, the presence of an AED could save a life.”
