Jeremy Gruber Provides Webinar on Opioid Overdose Signs & How to Respond
Jeremy Gruber, VP of Strategic Sales and BSRT/RRT/NRP at Rescue One, presented this very informative presentation on opioid overdose recognition and response as part of this year’s 2024 Construction Opioid Awareness Week. He highlighted the critical importance of personal safety measures, such as the use of PPE and careful handling of narcotic patches, when dealing with opioid exposure. Mr. Gruber emphasized the necessity for multiple doses of naloxone in certain cases and the importance of seeking EMS guidance due to the variability in patient responses. The session concluded with an informative Q&A, addressing naloxone usage and storage, the provision of free naloxone by the state government to community groups, and the importance of having naloxone readily available on construction sites and offices.
