Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:  1) Describe the principles of resuscitation; 2) Demonstrate the steps of resuscitation, including the use of a resuscitation bag and mask, chest compressions, and endotracheal intubation for the adult patient; 3) Describe the appropriate use and dosage of resuscitative medications; 4) Demonstrate the ability to recognize normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms; 5) Demonstrate primary and secondary ABCD surveys with modifications appropriate for pregnant and/or newly delivered patients, based on physiological changes of pregnancy.

ACLS OB and ACLS are not interchangeable.  If a facility requires ACLS certification for its staff, ACLS OB will not be a substitution.  The purpose of ACLS OB is to help nurses and other clinicians understand how, when, and why to modify ACLS algorithms for care of the pregnant or newly delivered OB patient.

ACLS OB is not a certification course and does not expire.[/fusion_text][fusion_button link=”” color=”blue” size=”medium” stretch=”no” type=”flat” shape=”square” target=”_blank” title=”CPR AED Training” gradient_colors=”|” gradient_hover_colors=”|” accent_color=”” accent_hover_color=”” bevel_color=”” border_width=”” icon=”” icon_position=”left” icon_divider=”no” modal=”” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”left” animation_speed=”1″ animation_offset=”” alignment=”” class=”” id=””]View Class Schedule[/fusion_button][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
